SDMO, founded in 1966 by the family Meunier, builds generator sets from 1 to 3.000 kVA. SDMO is the third biggest set builder in this class of generator sets in the world. SDMO employs about 700 people mainly in Brest, and creates a local activity of subcontracting for approximately 300 people.
In Brest there are three production sites; Villeneuve (25 to 1.000 kVA sets, day production approx. 15 sets), Réaumur (1 to 30 kVA sets, approx. 440 sets day production) & the main location KII. On the KII location the Power Products and Power System from 40 to 3000 kVA are being assembled. KII has a ground surface of 50.000 m2 of which 15.000 m2 for production. About 50 sets a day are being build here. Besides more or less standard generator sets there is the possibility of having complete power plants (generators and controls) build to specific wishes of the customer.
SIM is since 1985 the Dutch partner for SDMO generators. As first distributor of SDMO in the Netherlands we have introduced SDMO to the Dutch market.
